GIRLS POWERWHEELS – PROPER BATTERY CHARGING FOR YOUR GIRLS BATTERY POWERED CARS

GIRLS POWERWHEELS – INITIAL BATTERY CHARGING

One thing to be aware of especially if your purchasing your Girls PowerWheels as a gift for your little one is proper battery charging techniques.  When your girls new battery powered car arrives the battery will need charged before she can ride it the first time.  The worst part of this is the first battery charging takes a whopping 18 hours!  This is good information to be aware of so you can plan assembly and battery preparation around the time you will be revealing your Girls Powerwheels.

Don’t take shortcuts when it comes to battery maintenance on your girls new powerwheel.  Proper charging and care will make the battery life last much longer and provide longer riding times for your battery powered cars.

An important thing to remember is, no matter how bad you want to just put a couple hours of charge on your new powerwheel battery just so your girl can get a “little” ride time on it in the beginning do not do it.  The batteries in your girls powerwheels develop a cycle memory, and this is mainly based and built upon the first charging session, which is why its important to let it charge the full 18 hours initially.

If you only let it charge a couple of hours initially it will never fully charge to its fullest capacity afterwards.  This in turn will make the battery life while riding the vehicle much shorter than it should be and will lead to frustation of your girl and her battery powered car.

So just keep that in mind especially if its going to be a gift, take the battery and charger out of the box before wrapping it and give it a good charging as directed in the owners manual.   The battery should also be charged 6 to 12 hours after each use of the vehicle or whenever the vehicle begins to slow down.  If the car isn’t driven on a regular basis charge the battery at least once a month until normal riding is resumed and your Girls PowerWheels will give your little one the riding experience you spent the money on and have came to trust from Fisher-Price and there Girls Battery Powered Cars!
